Well, I'm sure you have plenty of people in real life telling you not to do it... so I say go for it! Bang that soldier boy and report back with all the juicy details. I'll be banging a soldier tonight as well... : )

lmao...well, the latest update is that there was a steamy scene late last night...but then he ruined it by asking things related to "commitment" and "what will happen when i come back..."...ugh...i hate to sound so cold, but that was exactly what i was afraid of!

That is a minefield now..he will be thinking you a LOT when he is deployed, and in his mind he will develop a relationship that may not exist. My two cents worth cg, would be to kindly explain you have feelings for him but are not interested in a commitment now or anytime soo..be careful!!

Mmmmm. I will say that if he is serious, you should decline.

In a year, you will be even more complex, not the woman he left.

I had nearly the exact same problem. Eventually I had to lay it out for him that anything relationship-like was a bad idea and he was probably being motivated more by fear of being deployed/loneliness than actual interest in me. In the end I say show him a good time but make perfectly clear that it isn't anything more than that. If you don't think he can get his head around it I would avoid it. And I found your site through thebeauatifulkind
