a kiss is just a kiss

sometimes i feel like julia roberts from the movie "pretty woman" where she has her idiosyncratic rule about "no kissing on the lips"...what is it about kissing that is so very intimate...so much so, that for me it is like being naked in a room full of people...sexual act of physical intimacy is different, because the sensations are different...when you kiss someone, you can smell, taste, touch, hear, and see them...all right in one place...

i tend to pull away from kisses even though i love kissing...it is so intimate...so dark, heavy, and rich...except the bad ones...then they are just lame, gross, and messy...

but the ones that i really want to kiss i always turn away from...why is that...am i afraid of what i may find after our lips meet and the tongue tango begins?...

the more intimate i feel towards/with a person, the less likely i am to kiss them...anti-climatic fears, perhaps?...who knows...in the meantime, i will kiss the ones i dont want to kiss...

and refuse to kiss the ones i yearn to kiss...

i never said i made sense, lol...

well...

not sure how to respond to that...
"kiss the ones you don't want to kiss and not kiss the ones you want to"

complex, very complex..
seems like you are missing out on something good and pleasurable

There is nothing more intimate than kissing.

Our mouths are the more visceral orifice-we eat and drink to sustain ourselves.

We talk and sing to express ourselves.

A kiss is not just a kiss...

could it be because the one you yearn to kiss could close the deal with a kiss?

make your desire jump off the map?

If kissing is intimate and you pull away from kissing you are pulling away from intimacy.....

It's a tendency girls have to not kiss the ones they really like. Don't know why...

@percy - well, it's like a puzzle with missing pieces...if you havent seen the finished product, how do you even know you are missing anything at all?

@sugarbaby - MY voice of reason!...lol...you are so very right...you are right...a kiss is not just a kiss...being verbal gals, we do understand the importance of where our mouths go! ;)

@sage - good point...one that bears more in-depth thought processing...

@bdenied - why must you have such simple and on-the-spot reasoning??...i will resort to juvenile retalition - "it's not fair!"

@oxygen - if i had the answer to that one, i would share it...but, being a woman does not necessarily mean i understand them...

Seems like too much denial of pleasure. Kissing with the right person is such a sublime feeling, how could you deny yourself that gift?

curiousgirl said...

@mnwhr - "denial of pleasure" ...sounds like the beginnings of a post to me...i have made a life based on "denial of pleasure"...to what purpose?...hmm...therein lies the question...

Thou art irrational.

But its actually common. I got many friends like that. But me, I love kissing guys I like. Mmmm

@chb - lol...irrational, yes...very well put...nice to know i am not alone in my irrationality!

kissing is extremely intimate, yes. Your juxtaposition about kissing who you don't want to as much, and not kissing who you really want is very interesting. Tho if someone in r/t reads this and you and he ever get together and he goes in for the kiss....how you react will tell him quite a bit...
